We just arrived to our Dead Sea hotel after three days of making friends, gathering firewood, examining history, hiking, marveling at the stars, playing frisbee and cards, dancing on rock bridges, drinking sweet tea with zaatar, singing, chanting, painting each other with rock dust, and laughing until actually we cried. When I get back from dinner, I will post some pictures that will not even come close to doing justice to the experience we just had.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this most recent update. As I'm sure you know President Obama was in Jordan and I saw a picture of him in Petra. Aside from the lack of people in the background it was clear he was standing in the very same spot that you guys were a few days earlier. I thought that was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures you post later. While I'm sure they don;t do justice it is amazing for us to see from this end. Thanks again and please tell Adon I said hello.
